That's me, Nolan

As I type this, I am currently a 20 year old from Tinley Park, IL. I am a Junior Sports Communication major at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Ever since I was about six or seven years old, it has been my dream to work in the sports media field. Whether it may be as an analyst, writer, reporter, or announcer, I will do anything in my power to (hopefully) one day achieve my dream.

Sports have been at the center of my whole life. My family is my most significant influence on me to become an avid fan I am today.  I am a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and (sort of) the Blackhawks, along with Notre Dame being my favorite college football team. So I have deep, loyal love towards all my teams and its respected sport. However, if I had to choose a favorite, I would barely have to go with football.

Football is my religion; it is the sport that my family and I easily treasure the most; how can we not? Compared to other sports, the seasons are the shortest, the offseasons are the longest, and there is one game a week during the season. When football season is around, it is a holiday every week to me.

As previously mentioned, I am a huge Bears fan, which is a good thing and a bad thing to me. The good? Well, they're my team through thick and thin, I love them more than life itself. The bad? They have a decent tendency to break my heart. Such examples include Chris Conte's blown coverage to eventually lose us the division vs. Green Bay, the 2014 regular season collapse, the John Fox era, did I mention the (gulp) "Double Doink"? Yes, it could be worse, I could be a Lions or Browns fan, but Bears fans have not had it easy over these years. But like most Chicago fans, loyalty is in our blood, and someday the pay off will be extraordinary.

With this website, I will write personal blogs about my opinions, reactions, predictions, and so on regarding games and news with the Bears. Although my blogs will focus mainly on the Bears, I will also discuss my thoughts regarding the rest of the 31 teams in the NFL. Again, football is my religion, and I also love to write, so why not mix both elements into one? I look forward to working with this experiment and seeing where it takes me.

Bear Down!
